Ingredients
- 250g paneer, cubed
- 1 cup onion, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp tomato puree (1 fresh tomato if using fresh)
- 1 tbsp Nosh Spice Paneer Masala Mix
- 1 tsp ginger paste
- 1 tsp garlic paste
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp ghee or vegetable oil
- Salt, to taste
- Chopped cilantro, for garnish
Cooking Method
Step 1: Sauté the Base
- Heat the ghee or vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
- Stir in the ginger paste and garlic paste. Cook for another minute until the raw smell disappears.
Step 2: Prepare the Masala
- Add the Nosh Spice Paneer Masala Mix to the pan and sauté for a minute to release the flavours.
- Pour in the tomato puree and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the oil separates from the masala.
Step 3: Finish the Gravy
- Lower the heat and add the heavy cream to the masala. Stir to combine.
- Add salt to taste and let the gravy simmer for a few minutes.
Step 4: Add Paneer
- Gently add the cubed paneer to the gravy, being careful not to break the cubes.
- Let the paneer cook in the gravy for about 5 minutes, ensuring it is heated through and coated with the masala.
Step 5: Garnish and Serve
- Garnish the Paneer Masala with chopped cilantro.
- Serve hot with naan, roti, or steamed rice.
- Enjoy your creamy and flavourful Paneer Masala!
