- 4-5 green chilies

For Frying:
- 3 tbsp oil (for skillet frying)
- OR 2 tsp oil (for air frying)
Cooking Method
Step 1: Marinate the Fish
- Clean the fish fillets and marinate with 1 tsp turmeric powder and salt.
- Let it sit for 15 minutes.
Step 2: Cook the Fish in the Skillet:
- Heat 2 tbsp mustard oil in a skillet.
- Fry the fish fillets until golden brown on both sides (about 2 minutes per side). The fish doesn't need to be fully cooked, just browned.
- Set aside.
In the Air Fryer:
- Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (390°F) for 3 minutes.
- Brush the air fryer basket and fish fillets with oil.
- Place the fillets in the basket in a single layer.
- Air fry for 4 minutes, until light brown.
- Remove and set aside.
Step 3: Prepare the Curry
- In the same pan, heat the remaining oil.
- Add the onion paste, ginger paste, and garlic paste, and cook on low heat until browned (5-8 minutes).
- Stir in the tomato paste, Nosh Spice South Curry Mix, coriander powder, garam masala (if using), and salt.
- Cook on low heat for 5 minutes to blend the flavours.
- Add 1 cup of water and the fried fish pieces.
- Cover and cook for 3-4 minutes, allowing the fish to absorb the flavours.
Step 4: Season and Serve
- Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
- Garnish with lemon juice and chopped cilantro.
- Serve hot with boiled rice.
Notes: You can add 1 tsp mustard paste to the curry for an extra layer of flavour.
