Ingredients

For the Marinade:

  • 1 pound (450g) boneless chicken, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • ½ cup plain yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon Nosh Spice Butter Chicken Mix
  • 1 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic paste
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt to taste

For the Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons butter or ghee
  • 1 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic paste
  • 2 tablespoons tomato puree (or 2 tomatoes, blended if using fresh)
  • 1 teaspoon honey or sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Nosh Spice Butter Chicken Mix

Cooking Method

Step 1: Marinate the Chicken

  1. In a large bowl, mix the plain yogurt, Nosh Spice Butter Chicken Mix, ginger paste, garlic paste, lemon juice, and salt.
  2. Add the chicken pieces to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated.
  3. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight for better flavours.

Step 2: Preheat the Air Fryer

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 360°F (180°C).

Step 3: Air Fry the Chicken

  1. Place the marinated chicken pieces in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  2. Air fry for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking. Cook until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through.

Step 4: Prepare the Sauce

  1. While the chicken is cooking, heat the butter or ghee in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add the ginger paste and garlic paste, and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add the tomato puree and cook for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Mix in the honey or sugar and Nosh Spice Butter Chicken Mix.
  5. Simmer the sauce for an additional 5 minutes until it thickens slightly.

Step 5: Combine Chicken and Sauce

  1. Once the chicken is done, add it to the sauce and stir to coat the chicken pieces evenly.
  2. Let it simmer for a few more minutes to allow the flavours to meld together.

Step 6: Serve

  1. Serve the Butter Chicken hot with rice, naan, or your preferred side.
