Ingredients
- 1 pound (450g) Mutton/Beef, cubed
- 2 teaspoons Nosh Spice South Curry spice mix
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon ginger paste
- 1 teaspoon garlic paste
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Curry leaves (Optional)
- 1/2 (half) cup coconut milk or any cream (optional, for creaminess)
- Salt to taste
Recipe
- Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onions and sauté until they turn translucent.
- Stir in the ginger paste and garlic paste. Cook for another minute until fragrant.
- Add the Nosh Spice South Curry spice mix to the pan and sauté for a minute to release the flavours.
- Add the cubed Mutton/beef to the pan and cook until it’s browned on all sides.
- Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the oil starts to separate from the masala. Add salt to taste and mix well.
- Lower the heat to a simmer, cover the pan, and let the curry cook for about 30-40 minutes, or until the meat is tender.
- You can add a little water if needed to maintain the desired consistency. If using coconut milk for creaminess, pour it into the pan and stir to combine.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary.
- Serve the curry hot with steamed rice or Indian bread like naan or roti.
- Enjoy your flavourful and Hot South Curry!
